 Itinerary for his day

The day starts at 8 am with a visit to the two impressive piramids of Dashur. King Sneferu started to buid the now well known  Bent Piramid (c. 2600 bc). Location is some kilometers South of the Sakkara Site and about 40 km South of Cairo. We can visit the different chambers inside. This King also started another Piramid,  the so called Red Piramid. The first large stone piramid is in a perfect piramidshape.

We go back North to Sakkara. This visit of the Necropolis is organized in two parts. Before our lunch, the recently  reopened Serapeum (The large Apis Bull tomb) is on our list. After our lunch near Sakkara, we continue with one of the most beautiful tombs of Egypt: the tomb of Mererouka. And another tomb of the Nobles: the tomb of Ti.

We end at Sakkara with a couple of new opened tombs in 2013: the New Kingdom tombs.

We finish  this tour with Memphis, the former Capital of Ancient Egypt for decades.
